One of the things we all missed during this pandemic was traveling. But luckily, things are slowly coming back to normal, and traveling is again possible. During the time we couldn’t travel, we decided to make a travel collection in Splashy so we could at least virtually see beautiful destinations.
Because traveling is possible again, we needed to upgrade our collection with new wallpapers. For new additions, we collaborated with Putoholilčari, and all the wallpapers are from their recent trips. Putoholičari are two travel enthusiasts, Iva and Branko. And their name on Croatian even means travel addicts. They have been married for seven years and traveling for 15 years. Iva is an informatics teacher, and Branko oversees marketing on their blog. But today, traveling is also a job for them. They opened a business and even when they travel, they are working.
Putoholičari started because of their love for traveling, and they wanted to share their tips and tricks for traveling on a budget. In the beginning, they shared their travel blogs and photographs with friends and family, but the page just kept growing. Today on their web you can find travel blogs, advice about low-budget traveling, international recipes, and even a partner for your next trip.
When Putoholičari first started to travel, they picked destinations by their budget. Today their goal is to travel where they want to. Often, they pick out the destination after talking to their followers and friends. In the beginning, they counted all the countries they visited. Even though they do not do that anymore, they say they have been to approximately 70 countries.
Putoholičari sorted out their travels by continent. North America, especially the US, wowed them with nature and national parks. In Africa, they liked. Namibia and Cambodia because the animals roam freely. They fell in love with Asia because of food and people. But their favourite place in the whole world is Hawaii — because they got married there.
